How to do it:
Ask your child what they already know about dinosaurs.
Look at pictures or watch a short dinosaur video.
Talk about:
Big vs. small dinosaurs
Herbivores vs. carnivores
Land, sea, and flying dinosaurs
🐝 Buzzy Prompt:
“If dinosaurs were still alive, where do you think they’d live?”
Supplies: Paper & tape (optional)
How to do it:
Cut out large “dino footprints” from paper.
Tape them on the floor or sidewalk.
Walk, stomp, or tiptoe from print to print like a dinosaur!
Goal: Creativity and fine motor skills.
Supplies:
Paper plate, crayons/markers/paint, scissors, glue
How to do it:
Color the paper plate green, brown, or rainbow.
Cut triangles for spikes or plates.
Glue pieces onto the plate to create a dinosaur.
Supplies:
Blocks, boxes, toy dinosaurs, paper trees
How to do it:
Build volcanoes, forests, or caves.
Place dinosaurs around the scene.
Make up stories about what’s happening in the dino world.
Goal: Literacy + connection.
