Cornstarch and Dish Soap Bubble Dough
Ingredients:
1 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup liquid dish soap
Optional: a few drops food coloring
Optional: glitter, essential oils, or tiny beads for texture
Mixing bowl & spoon
Airtight container for storage
Directions:
1. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of cornstarch. Add 1/2 cup of liquid dish soap slowly, mixing as you go to prevent splatters.
2. Mix & Knead: Use a spoon or your hands to mix the ingredients together until you achieve a soft and pliable dough. If the mixture feels too dry, add a splash more dish soap. If it’s too wet, sprinkle in a little more cornstarch until the desired consistency is reached.
3. Customize It (Optional): If you want to add some flair, incorporate a drop or two of food coloring to create a vibrant look. You can also stir in eco-glitter, essential oils for a nice scent, or small non-sharp beads for added texture.
4. Play Away! Your dough is now ready for fun! Stretch, squish, and mold it into different shapes. You can use cookie cutters, rolling pins, or just shape it by hand to create whatever your imagination desires.
Tips & Variations:
- If you find the dough gets a little sticky, lightly dust your hands with cornstarch while playing.
- For different textures, try adding various types of beads or small fillers to see how they change the dough's feel and appearance.
