Big fun, tiny budget, zero “I’m bored” complaints (well… fewer 😅)

April is that magical in-between month… not quite summer, not quite winter, and somehow your house turns into a snack factory + boredom headquarters.

But don’t worry, Hive Parent 🐝✨
We’re turning a quick Dollar Store run into 15 days of creative magic using simple supplies, big imagination, and just enough glitter to regret later.

These crafts are:
✔ Budget-friendly 💵
✔ Kid-approved 👧👦
✔ Actually doable (no Pinterest stress here 🙌)

🎨 THE CRAFTS

🦋 1. Coffee Filter Butterflies

Supplies: Coffee filters, markers, spray bottle, pipe cleaners
Instructions:
Color the coffee filter with markers. Lightly spray with water and watch colors blend. Let dry, pinch the center, wrap with a pipe cleaner, and shape into wings.

🌈 2. Rainbow Paper Plate Spinner

Supplies: Paper plate, markers/paint, string
Instructions:
Color both sides of the plate in rainbow patterns. Cut a spiral from the edge inward. Attach string and hang… watch it twirl like magic.

🐞 3. Ladybug Rocks

Supplies: Rocks, red/black paint, googly eyes
Instructions:
Paint rocks red, add black spots, glue on eyes. Instant garden cuteness.

🌸 4. Egg Carton Flowers

Supplies: Egg cartons, paint, straws/pipe cleaners
Instructions:
Cut cartons into flower shapes, paint, and attach stems. Boom… forever flowers 🌼

☔ 5. April Showers Cloud Craft

Supplies: Cotton balls, blue paper, string, paper raindrops
Instructions:
Glue cotton balls as clouds, hang paper raindrops with string underneath.

🐝 6. Bumble Bee Puppets

Supplies: Toilet paper rolls, yellow/black paint, wings
Instructions:
Paint stripes, add paper wings and googly eyes. Hello little hive friend 🐝

🌷 7. Tissue Paper Flowers

Supplies: Tissue paper, pipe cleaners
Instructions:
Layer tissue paper, accordion fold, tie in the center, fluff into a flower.

🐸 8. Frog Paper Cups

Supplies: Green cups, construction paper, googly eyes
Instructions:
Decorate cups as frogs, add paper legs and big eyes. Ribbit-ready 🐸

🌞 9. Sun Catchers

Supplies: Clear contact paper, tissue paper, paper plate
Instructions:
Cut center from plate, stick contact paper, add tissue pieces, seal and hang.

🐛 10. Pom Pom Caterpillars

Supplies: Pom poms, glue, googly eyes
Instructions:
Glue pom poms in a line, add eyes and antennae.

🌧️ 11. Rain Stick Craft

Supplies: Paper towel roll, rice, foil
Instructions:
Line inside with foil, add rice, seal ends, decorate. Shake for rain sounds 🌧️

🦆 12. Duck Paper Plates

Supplies: Paper plates, yellow paint, orange paper
Instructions:
Paint plate yellow, add beak and eyes.

🐌 13. Snail Shell Art

Supplies: Paper plates, paint, markers
Instructions:
Draw spiral shell designs, cut out, attach paper body.

🌼 14. Spring Wreath

Supplies: Paper plate, fake flowers, glue
Instructions:
Cut center out of plate, decorate with flowers and colors.

🪁 15. Paper Kites

Supplies: Paper, string, ribbon
Instructions:
Cut diamond shape, decorate, attach tail and string.
