DIY Moon Rocks That Glow and Bounce
Materials:
- 1/2 cup white school glue
- 1/4 cup liquid starch
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
Directions:
1. In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of white school glue.
2. Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of baking soda and mix it well until fully combined. Make sure there are no lumps.
3. Gradually pour in 1/4 cup of liquid starch while stirring continuously. This will help your mixture come together. Keep stirring until you notice a pliable mixture starting to form.
4. Once the mixture becomes less sticky, use your hands to knead it until it has a dough-like consistency. You may need to knead it for a few minutes.
5. Shape the pliable mixture into small rock shapes. You can make them any size you like, but smaller shapes might bounce better.
6. Place your shaped moon rocks on a tray and let them dry for a few hours, or until they are firm to the touch. This will help them keep their shape.
7. Enjoy your glowing and bouncing moon rocks! You can turn off the lights to see them glow if you used glow-in-the-dark materials!
Tips & Variations:
- For added glow, consider adding glow-in-the-dark paint to the mixture before shaping the rocks.
- Experiment with different colors by using colored school glue or adding food coloring during the mixing process for a fun twist!
