Cloud in a Jar Experiment
Ingredients:
- 1 clear glass or jar
- Water (enough to fill 3⁄4 of the jar)
- Shaving cream (foam type, enough to create a cloud layer)
- Food coloring (a few drops of any color)
Directions:
1. Fill a clear jar 3⁄4 full with water.
2. Add a thick layer of shaving cream on top of the water to represent the cloud.
3. Gently drop a few drops of food coloring onto the shaving cream.
4. Observe as the colored rain drips down through the shaving cream and into the water below, simulating rainfall.
Tips & Variations:
- You can experiment with different colors of food coloring to see how they mix and create new colors as they fall.
- Try using different types of containers or varying the amount of water and shaving cream to observe how the cloud formation changes.
